The original brewery in now a winegarden in downtown old St. Charles. The building is still in existance. The last time I saw it it had the name VanDyke Brewery on the side. I believe VanDyke and Fischbach were partners and the Fischbach side sold out to VanDyke
Submitted by: Linda Williams on 2009-08-26Brewery is now owned by Jim Reid who lives in one of the three brewers houses above it. He has rented out to Cider House (a non profit). It has caves into the hill behind it that are brick lined. It use to have a spring creek running next to it ice would be made from for sale and for storage of beer.
